On the 3 rd of February, Greenfield International School, Dharapuram, hosted its 11th Annual Sports Meet, Synergy 2024, a day filled with fervour and excitement, experienced amidst thrills, shrills and cheers. The chief guest for the day was the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dharapuram, Thiru .M.Kalaiarasan.
The day started off with the lovely rendition to the Lord Almighty followed by the hoisting of the three flags-The National Flag, The Olympic Flag and the School flag, hoisted by our Chief guest, our Guest of Honour and our Vice Chairman respectively.
This was followed by the Inter-House March Past, paving the way for the lighting of the Olympic Torch which was handed over to Ms.Kaviyasree ,our Sports Secretary by our Chief Guest and was passed on by her to some of the best sports people of our school –from Chess champions to Kho -Kho winners to carom, football and cricket champions.
The Chief Guest declared the Sports Meet open by releasing pigeons into the air.
The audience next witnessed various colourful drill displays using special props. The children from Grade 1 to 9 exhibited their skills and synchronicity through drills and dance drills as well. It kept the audience enthralled even as they cheered and encouraged all the participants. The displays made way for the highly awaited athletic events where competitiveness among the students soared through the roof.
The games organized for the parents saw an impressive participation.
At the end of the day, students departed with a clear smile on their faces. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish.
