Chess Champion in the making
Shashidhar.R.N. has been into chess since the pandemic.It is during the Corona times that he turned to chess thinking that if he has to match his role model Elon Musk, he must be able to think ahead of times which only the game of chess would teach him.Since then he has not looked back.He has participated in innumerable chess tournaments both at district and State levels and won accolades both for himself and his school, the latest achievement being the victories in the Erode and Tiruppur sahodaya chess championships.
He wants to become an entrepreneur like Elon Musk, since Space Science fascinates him, and conquer the skies.
Sahodaya Best Teacher Awards
On September 2, a group of 5 teachers , Mrs Gayithiry Manikandan, Mrs Maheshwari, Mrs Ponmalar Mr Gnanapraksh, and Mr.Arun were given the Best teacher Award by Kovai Sahodaya at a grand ceremony held at PSG Public School..Mrs Gayithri has been with the school for 9 years and dedicated herself to the cause of the Kindergarten children.Under her care the children get nurtured and bloom and blossom. Both Mrs Maheshwari and Mrs Ponmalar are known for their teaching prowess in Tamil, while the former gives the children a sound foundation in this language in the lower classes, the latter further builds up their interest in the language in the higher grades and is capable of eliciting top performances from them in the Board exams.
Mr.Gnanaprakash is a dedicated english teacher for the senior students and gives the children of the Board classes rigorous training as part of preparation for Board exams. He has been able to make the children score top marks in the Board exams which is a great achievement considering the fact that all the children in the school come from a rural background with minimal exposure to the language of english.
Mr.Arun kumar heads the sports department of Greenfield International school and has been with the school since its inception .He has built up the Sports Department of the school, bit by bit leading the school to many victories. The school today, is a strong force to be reckoned with in the field of sports, under his leadership.
