Independence Day this year was celebrated on August 14, in a grand manner with all children from KG to Grades 8 participating very enthusiastically along with their teachers.
While the Bulletin Boards all over the school were done up very creatively and colorfully, the cultural program
focused on highlighting the sacrifices of our great leaders and freedom fighters and emotions such as patriotism, heroism and the passion in one to die for one’s country.
All the children, from the KG tots to the senior children put their best foot forward and delighted the audience.
The next day, on August 15, the teachers of GFIS gathered together for flag hoisting. Tricolored sweets were distributed.
