On August 11, an official from the Police Department of Dharapuram visited GFIS to speak about the menace of drug abuse among the youth, specifically amongst the school children in the present day.
He spoke at length about how the police are on the alert throughout the day.trying to nab the culprits.He pointed out that drugs are available so easily that a lot of young school children are falling prey to this habit.He then administered an oath to all the children of Grades 9 to 12 ,that they would not touch drugs and would try to prevent others also from this dangerous habit.
This was done under the auspices of an anti drug campaign being run b y the police department of Tamil Nadu.
